Becoming ~ Small marks gather within a dark vertical field. Their rhythm and the intervals between them allow a larger form to emerge.
Becoming has a matte glaze surface. The middle strip is carved and a circular cutout exposes brass from the backside of the piece. To elevate and display the work, each piece is mounted on brass and held with small hammered brass claws, reminiscent of jewelry. Becoming has a matte glaze surface. These second editions are an ongoing series of tile paintings, where ceramic and drawing meet in sculptural relief. Each is one of it's kind.
