Here I Am ~ An expansive rust colored surrounds a dark circle, while pale space remains open beneath it. It gives the impression of a close up of something much bigger.
Here I Am has a heavy rust brush stroke and a black center under a satin matte finish. To elevate and display the work, each piece is mounted on brass and held with small hammered brass claws, reminiscent of jewelry.
These second editions are an ongoing series of tile paintings, where ceramic and drawing meet in sculptural relief. Each is one of it's kind.
