Ponder ~ Curved forms shift in scale and direction, leading the eye from one to another, merging and pulling back as the surface of a pond. In motion, each shape changes how its neighbors and the spaces between them are seen.
Ponder has a satin matte glaze finish over tones of hand painted rust, black and charcoal. To elevate and display the work, each piece is mounted on brass and held with small hammered brass claws, reminiscent of jewelry.
These second editions are an ongoing series of tile paintings, where ceramic and drawing meet in sculptural relief. Each is one of it's kind.
