Bump ~ emerging, a bubble, the moon... your interpretation is welcomed. The matte white glazed surface is imperfect and a little "broken". It speaks to me about imperfection and transition. This particular wall piece is the most sculptural release in the series.
To elevate and display the work, each piece is mounted on brass and held with small hammered brass claws, reminiscent of jewelry.
These first editions mark the beginning of an ongoing series of tile paintings, where ceramic and drawing meet in sculptural relief. Each is one of it's kind.
